"She came home today with a ring on her hand..."
Great news - My best pal Grace got engaged! Such excitement :) This girl has been such a major part of my life for the last nine years, and I am overjoyed. Also - its pretty special as her and her fiance Ryan were the victims of my first official photoshoot, which took place in the streets of Belfast back when we had just started uni. I may have a dig through the archives and fire some of those up here soon. Official engagement shots will be appearing at some point, but the other night took some quick fun ones, so here you go... :)
Other great news - not only can I photograph your wedding, I can now make your cake. (Ha.)

*A Quiet Interlude*
Alas, here it comes: a public apology for the lack of photography displayed here of late!
The only valid excuse I can give is the madness that has been for the past couple of months. When in California, I got to travel a lot more than I had anticipated, and spent as much time soaking up the sun as possible. (Severe lack of it here, apparently.) Some cool photos to come from there. Since I got back - its been a bit of a blur!
All in all, it's been an incredible summer; God has been doing mighty things, and lots of photos have been taken - which I'm excited about :) So those will be displayed over the days and weeks ahead, you have my word.
For now, here is a sneak preview - some fun shots from two incredible weeks at Castlerock Cssm. Enjoy :)

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
I've just returned from a few days in San Diego - another beautiful place. En route we drove through Orange County, which was also pretty funky. While down in San Diego, we got to go to Sea World. Now... you have to understand that as a kid, being fascinated by the whole whale/dolphin thing, this place was like heaven on earth to me way back then. So, to be honest, I was probably more excited than the kids about this trip. We had so much fun, despite sunburn and being drenched with nasty water on several occasions. And while it sounds a bit clichéd or something.... places like this always leave me in awe of our sovereign God and the wonders of his intricate creation.....
Below are the kids of the family I'm staying with - Chandler and Harrison. They are hilarious. They're pretty convinced that I'm from Scotland, and tend to tell people we meet this :) It's cute.
Megan (and the kids) decided it was time for me to 'overcome my fears' by taking me into the shark place. Nasty, nasty creatures. Not a nice feeling when they're all swimming over your head. There were even little ones in tanks chewing on each other. Nice.
But there was no danger - Sea World had us well warned....
To sum up the day, quoting Megan on the comment card....
"Good food and whales." :)

The madness that is Palm Springs
First of all, California is not really what I imagined. It's dry, deserty - with mountains EVERYWHERE! Pretty funky, more of that to come in future posts. But for now, here's some shots of the beautiful Palm Springs. I love this place. It's ridiculously hot, and the people are a bit wacky, but its all good. Here are some of the incredible people I met last weekend:
Now for Palm Springs....
This was the view from our balcony. Beautiful :)
Below is a fun shot from one of our many ice-cream trips. (As I mentioned, its crazy warm here! On one of the hottest days - we attempted to fry eggs on the tarmac, but sadly failed. We did enjoying throwing the rest of the eggs, though.)
The roads Palm Springs are a tad crazy. There are all kinds of bizarre signs and lanes, people frequently dash out in front of you - it's all a bit mad. So, naturally, one had to join in with the madness. Once adjusting to the lack of clutch on a silly automatic car, driving was quite fun --apart from that short time we ended up on the wrong side of the road. but we don't talk about that anymore ;)
In closing, an interesting fact just for you....
Did you know - in Palm Springs fire engines are not red?
Yes, we were as shocked as well.
Fear not, there are plenty more photos to come :)
I hope you are enjoying the photoblog (you really should leave a comment, you know..)

Greetings from California!
Well hello there - and welcome to the Bodyinflight photoblog of Becky McKee :)
Thank you for taking the time to come here, I greatly appreciate your support and interest!
Currently, I'm in the sunny state of California! Bit of a vacation time happening, so it's all good. Enjoying the forty degree heat - the sun is making for some glorious photos here.
Over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some of my favourite photographs from all that I get up to over here. Heading to San Diego next week, so pretty excited about that.
Last weekend I spent 4 days in Palm Springs, at a conference called Resolved (resolved.org) - organised by Grace Community Church. This time was so special, 12 sessions hearing from some incredible speakers - John Piper/CJ Mahaney/John MacArthur - with the theme of heaven and hell. Life changing stuff, let me tell you.
So here is one of my favourite shots from the conference....
More photos of this time will be appearing over the days ahead, so please do return.
